Cornflower Farms grows a wide range of California Native and Mediterranean plants. They're mostly wholesale, but do have sales events that are open to the general public.

Morningsun Herb Farm is a great place to get all kinds of herbs and other Mediterranean plants - as well as edible plants.

Village Nurseries is a wholesale nursery with a large selection of plants, many of which require little water.

Sierra View Nursery in Loomis has a great variety of Mediterranean and native plants.

They are committed to developing and producing other green materials, like post-consumer recycled glass countertops - a great thing for outdoor kitchens, once they put it into production!

Instant Jungle has over 40 varieties of bamboo, in all sizes. There are bamboos with yellow canes, blue canes, green, striped, spotted, mottled, black... The nursery is easily accessible from highway 101 in Cotati, and it's impeccably maintained, with excellent labels naming each variety and giving information about its growth habit.

They have some very nice looking palms, too - although the star here is the bamboo.

They're sustainable, too - with certified sustainable ipe wood, and fly ash incorporated into their cement mix for more recycled product content.
