Drawings for Building

Whereas the conceptual drawings are a tool for us to communicate the design to you, the construction drawings are a tool to communicate the final design to a contractor or builder.

These drawings aren't as pretty as the presentations, but they're a lot more detailed. Prepared in CAD, they show the dimensions of surfaces, structures and landscape elements. Elevations show surface treatments of walls, so the builder won't have to guess what to build.

Construction Drawings

Complete planting plans are included in construction drawings. Where the Master Plan would only list plants, planting plans locate them and provide a list showing all plant species to be used and quantities for all plants except ground covers. These plans can have additional details, such as lighting, grading, demolition or irrigation. They also provide more complete construction details than master plans, which tend to describe common built elements such as walls and trellises.

We offer varying levels of detail for construction drawings. Click here for more information.
